Government, the ruling power with decision fabrication authorities varies from nation to nation. The policies, rules, terms, the modes of selection, ways of decision making and the formulations of rules for the masses of people electing the government authorities depends on the type of government on rule. Distinctively based on the various functions and modes of election, the authorities could be autocratic (monarchy), democratic, republic, communist, federal, oligarchy and transitional.

Monarchy refers to the ruling of a royal representative which is not elected by people but a successor of the throne. The monarchs do not assure the rightful ruling aptitude as it is the hereditary inheritance where there are no groups to issue decisions. Democratic government is the rule for the people and by the people as the representatives are elected by the voting of people, the age criteria for which is set and every person of that respective domicile possess the right to vote. It is a productive form as the representatives when prove to be unmarked on the expectations, the people have the right to vote for another representatives.

A republic form of government is the one where the elected individuals (legislators) via people in democratic form elect their leaders further. The communist form of government is the ruling by a single party or dominant party by a communist party. They follow the communist principles being authoritarian and having supreme power aiming to develop a society of equality where each one shares and practices same rights.

The federal government practices the auxiliaries of government into central and state authorities. The constituents of state governments perform the internal affairs and control the administration at state level which is guided by the central government and ultimately responsible for national development.  Along with these forms of ruling powers, there are various other types meant to maintain the law, peace and order in the respective region.
